Recognizing the needs of an increasingly complex and competitive world, Miami University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science has partnered with Lockheed Martin to launch the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute.

Highlights of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute

• The School of Engineering and Applied Science Lockheed Martin Leadership Institute aims to cultivate leaders who use their own passion for learning, integrity, courage, interpersonal skills and persistence to collaborate productively with and empower others to positively influence transformational change in their professions, their communities, and the world.
• Working hand in hand with seasoned leaders from business and government, we are committed to prepare engineering and computing undergraduates to be exceptional leaders throughout their careers and lives by thinking strategically, working with others to find innovative approaches, effectively communicating their ideas, and leading with purpose.
• The Institute offers a select cohort of students an intensely personal and customized certificate program led not only by gifted Miami faculty but also by successful seasoned leaders with extensive real world experience.  This unique and transformative learning experience embraces interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, self-knowledge, innovation, change management, emotional intelligence, globalization, and business acumen.
• The Institute offers faculty and all students in the School of Engineering and Applied Science exposure to industry leaders and leadership resources.
